The team win 3-0 at Mestalla to earn the three points
Valencia CF put on an impressive display at home to Getafe CF on LaLiga Matchday 4, winning 3-0 with goals from Mouctar Diakhaby, Arnaut Danjuma, and Hugo Duro.
The game started with energy and drive, supported by the fans in the stands. In the opening minutes, Carlos Corberán’s men tried to control possession and create chances. The first opportunity came from a shot by Jesús Vázquez from outside the box, saved by Getafe goalkeeper David Soria.
As the minutes passed, Getafe CF increased their aggressiveness and came close to scoring the first goal of the match, when Mauro Arambarri's shot from distance went just inches wide of Julen Agirrezabala's right post.
A few minutes after the customary cooling break, Valencia CF scored their first goal. Luis Rioja crossed in, and Diakhaby chased the ball down at the far post, finishing perfectly to make it 1-0.
Valencia CF tried to extend their lead before halftime. Hugo Duro got the better of Djené in the box, and the Togolese centre back brought down the striker, but the referee waved away the appeal for a penalty.
After the break, Valencia CF showed a fast pace to their play, rewarded with their second goal. Javi Guerra launched a counterattack with a ball through the Getafe CF defence, and Danjuma was quick to latch onto it. The Dutch striker ran into space, burst into the box, and fired a shot into the net.
Duro nearly finished off a cross from Diego López, and the Asturian winger himself came close to scoring the third goal of the match with another counterattack initiated by Dmitri Foulquier. He burst into the box, but his effort missed the target.
Getafe CF attempted to halt Valencia CF's dominance with moves in which Chrisantus Uche and Arambarri, respectively, provided threats.
With 10 minutes remaining, Liso volleyed against the right post for the visitors.
A few minutes later, Largie Ramazani made his debut for Valencia CF, just before Duro rounded off the match with Valencia CF's third goal.
Following this win, Valencia CF will next face FC Barcelona on Matchday 4 of the LaLiga season.
